Renovating and extending this small residence located on the beach was a challenge due to the space constrain, Keeping the outer structure intact, the inner partitions were rearranged to create seperate spaces for one bedroom, a living cum dining area, small kitchen below the staircase and a toilet on the ground floor and another guest bedroom and living area on the first floor with a thatch roof.

The boundary wall was the striking feature added with mix of exposed brick pillars, mud plastered walls and louvers with stone angeled in a way that it gives a clear view of the ocean through the slits from the ground floor but giving privacy from the busy road. The open garden space, semi covered verandah and the open terrace are the most used spaces with the terrace getting a beautiful view of the sea.
