LA SCHOOL, RESTORATION

The project for the restoration was initiated when it was discovered that the la school building was in a very bad condition and deteriorating. It was one of the initial modern buildings designed by Roger. The work was taken up by the team and there was a good response from everyone. The funding was done through the Auroville public building repair and maintenance fund.

 

 

 

As the work went on the surrounding buildings were also restored. For the school building, the work started from changing the roof. New fiberglass modules were placed and the painting and general repair work for the building including the surrounding water body and amphitheater were done.
