The site is located in the city of Udaipur in Rajasthan on the foot of a small hill with a very gradual slope. Requirements from the client were precise and they needed the building to be designed according to Vastu. They wanted a house with the ground floor serving as an office space and the first and second floor is residential. 

The ground floor is a public space was given a separate entry and another entrance leads to the entrance lobby with stairwell, lift, and space for storage of shoes and a small bench. The first floor has the living room, pooja room, open kitchen with dining area, master bedroom and a central court with skylight and basil plant(considered sacred in some traditions). The second floor has another bedroom and two terraces of which one would be a terrace garden.

There are open spaces on the front and the back of the plot with a small green well lighting the interiors and providing ample daylight and ventilation. Both rooms have attached cantilevered balconies with the view of the garden
